When closed, this piece is 1x1 1/8” done in brass designed as a book w/”The Beatles” on the front cover in high-relief lettering. The locket is suspended from a 22” long brass chain which is the original chain as it has a small brass “NEMS” metal copyright tag by the loop. Side edge of the locket has a clasp, and when the cover is pulled open, two interior sections spring out on a hinge revealing four panels w/bw paper photos of the group. Open side is 1x3.25” wide. Retains much luster and is a very clean example. Nicely made. Exc. Necklace comes on 3x6.5” card w/text “The Beatles” and caricature images of The Beatles at the top. Card also has designer’s name, “Nicky Byrne.” Card has some wear to slots where necklace was looped and center die-cut strip has one side torn in a .25” section. Card has aging and creases but is still Fine.
