Item Description
9.5" & 5" tall resin prototypes for bonded-porcelain statue showing Ringo mid-stride, traversing Abbey Road, as he appeared on the classic cover to the 1969 album of the same name. Produced by Gartlan USA, Inc. and ©1996 Monteco BV/Roccabella, Inc. Statues issued as a limited edition of just 250 in the larger size and 10,000 in the smaller size. All were approved by Ringo himself. They quickly sold out. Wonderfully detailed, statues capture Ringo's likeness perfectly. The large figure is on a tooling pattern base used to clamp it in place when using a pantograph to create the smaller sized figure. Last item is from another Gartlan limited run figure of 5,000 pieces of Ringo in the early years with drum kit. 5" seated figure in resin with seven drums made of Aluminum, plexiglass and resin. This lot is truly unique and one of a kind, anything that could be called a defect is from the creative process of action figure design as it was in the 80s. From the archives of Toy Designer Rich Roland.
