Item Description
7.5x10.5x1.5" deep box contains three different 7.25x10" puzzles by Saalfield. ©1940 Superman, Inc. Boxed set #1504. Box has evenly darkened w/age and corners shows some wear. Grease pencil price on lid. Lid's right side panel has two .5" areas of moisture staining but box remains tight and Fine overall. Each puzzle features choice action scene art, featured as covers to "Action Comics" #17 (tank) and #21 (U-boat) as well as "Superman" #4 (columns). Saalfield released three different Superman boxed puzzle sets, each w/different configuration and lid art. This set's lid features great image of Superman lifting tank as soldiers fire upon him w/machine gun. Puzzles are complete and Exc. overall. Scarce set.
