Item Description
First is 6.5” tall showing Grand Army of the Republic Veteran’s badge. Full text: “In Memoriam/James A. Garfield,/Assassinated/July 2, 1881./Died/Sept. 19, 1881./Fellow Citizens!/ God Reigns And The/Government At Washington Still Lives.” Light dust. Fine. Second is 6.5” tall. Reads: “ We Mourn/Our Nation’s Hero/Gen. U.S. Grant,/Born April 27, 1822,/Died July 23, 1885./Peace At Last.” A few separated threads over 5/8” length at top and two tan .5” glue marks on reverse but both barely show on front. Fine.
