From the famous 1988 auction sales of items from Warhol's personal collection offered by Sotheby's April 23-May 3, 1988 in New York. Included are high quality 6.75" tall decanter jug w/frosted glass bottom and reflective metal banding to top. Decanter has matching glass stopper which has reflective metal coating. Applied glass handle as made. Decanter has 1-1/8x1.75" Sotheby's "The Andy Warhol Collection" label sticker w/lot number hand-written in ink. Label shows some lt. aging but decanter is Exc. Comes w/six matching footed glasses, each standing 3.5" tall, likely cordial glasses. We are unsure of maker or country of manufacture, and most likely dates to the 1960s. High quality set.
