Item Description
11.5x15.5" full color 16-page newsprint insert for Dec. 20, 1936 edition. Cover features great Christmas image w/early use of semi-long-billed Donald Duck standing under mistletoe as early solid eye Mickey and Minnie Mouse peek around corner w/Pluto. Text at upper left (inside Christmas wreath) reads "Merry Christmas From All The Mirror Comics." Center spread is 2-page ad w/Santa Claus advertising Camel cigarettes and Prince Albert tobacco. Other comic strips of note include - "Henry, The G-Man, Li'L Abner, Ella Cinders, Tarzan, Toonerville Folks" and "Joe Palooka." Bottom of "Ella Cinders" page (and reverse) has total of six small Disney play money bills to be cut out. Front page has .75" sliver off at top center and moderate margin aging. Fine overall.
