Item Description
For coin history, see previous item #754. This is a doubled die error coin. Doubled die is a term used in numismatics to refer to doubling in the design elements of a coin. Doubled dies can appear as an outline of the design or in extreme cases, having legends and dates appear twice in an overlapping fashion. This example features doubled die reverse w/the strongest doubling on the words "United" and "One." Both sides have generous elements of pink to peach coloring. From the Robert M. Overstreet Collection and comes with COA.
