Item Description
Each piece is 1.75" with a celluloid front surrounding an inset working compass. Five of the six have a plain metal reverse while the second item in row one has a sticker on reverse reading "Notice/Do Not Carry This Rodeo Compass In Boot Pocket/This Is A Delicate Instrument/Carry In Coat Pocket/Oil Or Grease Boots To Increase Water Resistance And Wear." Front of this piece shows cowboy with lasso on bucking horse. Issued by "Rodeo Boots 'Mighty-Goods' For Boys." Celluloid has light age tone and seven hairline cello cracks radiating out from the center. These show very little. First item in row one is for "Standard Brake Shoe & Foundry Co." Third item in row one is for "Butter-Krust Bread." In row two, first item has some light age tone and several hairline cello splits barely showing. This is from "Knight And Wall Co." Second is from "Dave Cook Sporting Goods." This has three hairline cello cracks .5" long and just a touch of age tone. Last item is for "Blue Valley Boys' And Girls' Travel Contest/Honor Roll." Most of the pieces carry the name of maker Parisian and are c.late 1930s. Most extensive group we've ever been able to offer.
