Item Description
First is 1.75" without back paper and with name of maker on curl Cruver. Pictured going up a steep wooden ramp is vehicle with two men in front and two women in back. Surrounding text "Mason Does It In Spite Of Hill Or High Water/Mason Motor Co. Waterloo, Iowa." We've seen this button a couple of times all in black and white but this is the first we recall with text in red. Moderate age tone around outer edges. Nice gloss. Second is 1" with a serial number and rim text "The Hawkeye Oil Co./Trade/Mark/Anticarbon Auto Oil." Reverse has lightly aged W&H paper used 1900-1912. Surface has some small bumps to the touch but displays Mint.
