Item Description
5.5" tall with Mint luster embossed brass hanger bar which has cello insert reading "Special." Gold text on blue ribbon is a little lighter in tone towards the bottom but everything is easily seen and the full text reads "Aero Club Of Pennsylvania/Flying Exhibition/C.Grahame-White/Point Breeze Track/Nov. 17-24th./1910." This club was organized December, 1909 and is one of the oldest continuously operated aviation clubs in the U.S.A. Henry M. Netty, a club member, organized the largest aviation show ever held in America. It opened at the Armory in Philadelphia and 30,000 spectators attended the accompanying air show that was held at the Philadelphia Driving Park at Point Breeze Race Track. Fine and Rare. The earliest eastern U.S.A. flying exhibition artifact we've been able to offer.
