Item Description
2-11/16" wide oval with vertical pin and center window which holds cardboard inserted from the reverse with the "Board Of Education/City Of New York" seal at the center plus inked inscription of the newsboys name "James Maguire" along with permit "752." Stamped in the metal of the badge is "Newsboy/Registered By/Department Of Education/The/City Of New York." Minor wear to the silver luster and just the slightest trace of a very minor bend on upper and right edges. c.1923. Unique.
