Item Description
Three of these four pieces include fabric ribbons and chains but we have weighed only the medal portion and each tests for 10K. The medals total 20.0 grams. First is attached to black fabric ribbon with chain at top. Suspension reads "Excellence/Second Year High." Reverse reads "Calvert Hall College Balto. Md. June 1928." Light wear on the fabric. Second also on a black ribbon with chain above has suspension reading "Presented By WRCB To J.B. Andrews." Third on a ring which is not a part of the weight is 5.0 grams and reads "William Morris Medal To George J. Roth." Reverse reads "Isaac Leeser/H.S.S./Awarded For Diligence And Success/June 1st 1913." Fourth item on maroon and dark cream ribbon has Maltese Cross design with wreath surrounding a lamb or calf resting on a book. The wreath has dark color without gold luster outlining the inside and outer edges. Reverse reads "MGR. C.F. Thomas Medal/Christian Doctrine/St. John's College Washington D.C. June 1927." Ribbon has small split on lower right. The weights on the first two items are 2.5 grams and 3.0 grams. Except as noted the medals are NM to Mint.
