Item Description
1.5" with metal back and bar pin plus name of maker Bastian on the curl although the name is partially beneath the metal back. This plant was built in 1941 and produced smokeless powder as well as rocket propellant. Over 27,000 people were employed and help the area recover from the Depression. This button shows a rocket in flight and reads "Ind. Ord. Wks./Construction/Attendance Contest/Winner." Designed slightly off center to the left but Essentially Mint as made. Only example seen.
