Original illustrated cardboard box contains 12x16x14" tall hard plastic toy designed like jet cockpit. Ideal Toy Corporation. 1959. Great design w/detailed control panel including manually operated gauges for fuel quantity, altitude, direction, etc. plus a number of other switches and dials which activate battery-operated features which included projecting six different moving targets, radar control. Main motor no longer functions (though battery box is clean), but various lights work. Control handle moves the sight on the radarscope as well as a separate plane-shaped attachment on the "Bank And Turn" dial. The "Rocket Fire Panel" on top is spring-loaded w/manual firing mechanism (complete w/six included safety tip darts). Exc. Comes w/original detailed instruction sheet and cardboard box inserts. Box has some scattered age spotting and staple pulls to lid flaps from opening and some scattered general wear/aging. VG overall. One of the nicest and most elaborate of these large plastic toys made.
