9x13.25" paper sign has nice photo of Joe Louis in training clothes wearing the advertised ring on left hand. 1940s. Center has nice graphics of explosive cloud w/text reading "Here It Is! The Sensational New Joe Louis Ring - 'It's A Knockout'." Facsimile signature at lower right. Additional text reads "Joe's Autograph Engraved On Each Glove - The Champ's Official Ring - A Real Piece Of Jewelry" w/"A Must For Every Joe Louis Fan" text across bottom. Actual ring (see #943) is listed in Hake's "Official Price Guide to Pop Culture Memorabilia" as rare w/less than ten examples known. Slight aging. Clean and Exc. Superb display item.
