c. late 1950s pair for puppet character on Philadelphia TV station WRCV-TV. Bertie was based on a mythological Australian creature, a cross between a Collie dog, bunny, and duck billed platypus. 9.25x11.25" sealed plastic bag w/header card text "Adventures Of Bertie The Bunyip" contains board w/puppet character's photo and puppeteer w/text "Lee Dexter's Big Rascals." Contains punch-out card w/character images and die-cut building insert piece. Header card has scattered creases and bag has 2" tear. Packaging Fine overall w/Mint contents. Comes w/16" dia. WRCV NBC 33-1/3 rpm transcription disc for the show, inked title at center notes "Bertie Bunyip Cheers & Applause" and has additional inked notes about the tracks. Comes w/original plain paper sleeve. Single-sided disc has moderate surface wear and is VF. Both are rare.
