4x4x7/8" deep illustrated box contains nice quality 1-7/8" dia. two-tone chrome luster case w/nice engraved brass back plate w/"Davy Crockett" name on scroll w/dates of his birth and death as well as "Remember The Alamo" battle-cry and crossed flintlock pistols over "DC" powder horn. Produced by the Davy Crockett Watch Co., Inc. as noted on box lid and included guarantee paper. c. 1955. Box features nice image of Davy w/rifle in front of the Alamo w/image of pocket watch and included chain. Box lid has some scattered blue ink touch-ups but box remains tight and Fine. Watch dial features repeated image from box lid of Davy in front of Alamo and second hand dial has repeated image of crossed flintlock pistols over "DC" powder horn. Slight warp to pocket watch crystal. Running and o/w Exc. Comes w/gold luster metal chain w/chess knight fob. Mint. Very rare and the first we've seen in our 47 years. We have never even offered this watch loose, let alone complete as boxed.
