Item Description
First is 2-3/8" oval reading "February 40" along with initials of high school artist "LS." Unspecified but from Philadelphia area where use of comic characters on high school graduating class buttons has a long tradition. See following two items. This button has the reverse pin but missing the brass loop to secure it. In addition there is a good bit of stain on the button although it retains its full color and high gloss. Second is pair of highly embossed figural brass pins accented by enamel paint. Abner is 2-5/8" tall and Daisy Mae is 2-1/8" tall. Both are shown in a running position with her pursuing him although they are joined together by a double strand of brass link chain 3.5" long. From the late 1940s. Dot rub on Daisy's skirt but overall NM paint.
