Item Description
These are primarily 1" aluminum tokens with the star image and name on the front. Reverse typically has film title and most have name of issuer Popsicle. We will describe these individually noting any variation from the basic aluminum token as we proceed. First is "Constance Bennett" with movie title on back "A Bed Of Roses." Next are two for "Clive Brook." Both include Popsicle name with one including film name "Midnight Club." Next is "Claudette Colbert" with Popsicle name. Next is "Gary Cooper" having one have Popsicle name and one including title "Honor Bright." Next is for "Marion Davies" with Popsicle and "Peg O' My Heart" on reverse. A second item for her is designed as a brass charm with reverse text "Metro Goldwyn Mayer Star." First we've seen. Next are two for "Marie Dressler" one with Popsicle and "Tug Boat Annie" and the other with Popsicle but no title. Next are two for "Irene Dunne." One has title "The Silver Cord" and other has same title but with addition of the word Popsicle. Next is "Clark Gable" with title "Hold Your Man." Next is "Jean Harlow" with film title "Hold Your Man." Another for her in brass is with side attachments to serve as a bracelet, although no link chain. A third piece comes also in brass with reverse reading "Metro Goldwyn Mayer Star." Next is "Frederic March" with reverse naming Popsicle and a second one with both "Popsicle" and "Designed For Living." Last is for "Johnny Weissmuller." Reverse of this names Popsicle and "Tarzan And His Mate." One Harlow has lost some brass luster but vast majority of these are Exc. to Mint. Most extensive group we've ever been able to offer.
