Item Description
1-3/8" black and white with blue accent on his pants leg all against shaded blue background with slight white cloud accents. This button is typically seen as a 1.25" full color celluloid used c. 1959 as part of a U.S. Treasury Department campaign to encourage savings bond purchases. Also see earlier c.1956 rare carded examples from WXYZ Detroit radio station archives #1328-1333. We've offered only 6 examples of this rare litho over five decades. There are eight spots of paint loss on right background and couple off very bottom edge. These are 1/16" to 1/8". Over 90% remains clean and glossy. Light age tone over reverse metal. Scarce. Robert M. Overstreet Collection. Comes with COA.
