Item Description
Thin cardboard premium offered in 1940. Has assembled size of 4x8.5x3-3/8” tall overall . Inside detailed art includes a packed house of movie goers & images on the walls including Mickey, Donald Duck, Horace, Clarabelle, and others. Movie theater is designed with sliding roof panels to display the inside images. Front has cut-out pair of windows for viewing films made by assembling strips of cartoon images from Mickey Mouse Weeklies. These "films" are run through a pr. of folding panels on the back to view. Back also has pull out theater curtains. Comes w/ one of the assembled "films" which has hand written title piece "The Photographers." Also comes with cardboard cut and uncut sheet of coins w/English denominations on one side and Mickey images on the reverse. Also has a group of tiny posters cut-out from the weeklies meant to be posted on the sides of the theater, this has been done with some of them, but some are still loose. Scattered light wear and aging. Fine overall. Nicely designed. First we’ve seen in our 47 years.
