Item Description
Ten items c.1950. Eight are for Johann K. Petursson . Includes pair of unused giant postcards, each 6x9”, w/photo of him in Viking costume on hilltop w/short women next to him. Reverse side has stats. Next are four colored plastic rings w/photo sticker on front billing him as “Tallest Man On Earth”. Next two are “J P” metal monogram rings. Petursson (1913-1984) was from Iceland and at his peak stood 7 feet 8” tall, weighed 359 lbs. and wore a size 24 shoe. Last two items are two different variety “Jack Earle Giant” metal rings. One is lead, the other has luster and additional text “8 Ft.”. Earle (1906-1952) stood 7 feet 7.5” tall. All items are Exc. Interesting group from a by-gone era. From the Robert M.
