Item Description
4.75" tall. Early 1940s. Back of tail has text in gold luster "Japan's Rising Sun." The same gold luster is large dot at bottom of skunk's tail representing "sun" on Japan's flag. This figure was also done in plaster in a slightly larger size, see #1132-33, but this china version is the scarcer of the two styles. No manufacturer mark. Exc. A WWII classic.
