See previous item #2153. This is PinPics #90495, a 2.25x2.5" tall enameled metal pin graded and encapsulated by PinPics containing film cel showing Ariel w/her father King Triton in his Throne Room. The cel featured is one of the desired cels from the 1989 Disney animated film, and one of the most desired from the series of 24 pins overall. Three segments of the film were chosen to create the 2,000 uniquely individual cels that make up this edition. This cel is framed by pin elements depicting a shell and a seahorse w/Ariel swimming at lower left. The area featuring Ariel is a pin on pin. PinPics graded at 8.9 (NM) w/B cel 8, none graded higher. Of the 20 cels from the "Throne Room" scene, only 13 contain a full view of all four characters (Ariel, Flounder, Triton and Sebastian). Of the 13, six are rated A, six are rated B, and one is rated C. Pin comes w/original backer card, which shows wear w/creases and is Fine/VF overall. Released in 2012 as part of a limited edition of 2,000.
