Item Description
Original release 27x41" one-sheet movie poster for the classic 1950 Columbia film serial, the second live-action Superman film. The serial was directed by Spencer Gordon Bennet and starred Kirk Alyn as Superman, Noel Neill as Lois Lane, and Lyle Talbot as The Atom Man (secretly Superman arch-nemesis Lex Luthor). Poster is for Chapter 3 "Ablaze In The Sky!" and is dominated by large image of Superman being blasted by ray fired by Atom Man, w/smaller images of Superman punching Lex Luthor's lab equipment and carrying Lois Lane. Poster features an inset scene and chapter listing at lower left, w/film image of Superman carrying two men through burning building. Poster was folded as issued and has scattered restoration/touch-ups along fold lines which blend nicely. As linen-mounted, poster displays VF. Great poster for one of Superman's earliest Silver Screen adventures.
