Original illustrated cardboard box designed like a guitar case contains 24.5" long nicely-designed guitar by Peter Puppet Playthings Inc. c. 1955. Box has simulated woodgrain design w/image of Fess Parker as Davy Crockett playing the guitar on each side. Interior of lid has full color paper label w/additional art. Box has even aging and shows wear w/two 1" tears by die-cut cardboard handle. Overall still Fine and displays well. Guitar has wood body w/metal fingerboard, complete w/four wood tuning keys and strings. Has attached cord shoulder strap as well as original string attached to bottom and attached to this is the original plastic pick also in the shape of the guitar's body. At the center of the head is label w/portrait of Davy. Shows lt. scattered wear/dust soiling but remains VF/Exc. overall. Scarce.
