Item Description
Lot of four meteorite slices. All are Stoney-Iron Pallasites, which have a matrix of meteoric iron w/embedded silicates (most of it olivine). First slice measures 1x1-7/8", weighs 20.22 grams and was found in Miles, Queensland, Australia. Second slice measures 1x1-3/8", weighs 6.56 grams and was found in Quijingue, Bahia, Brazil. Third slice measures .5x1", weighs 4.59 grams and was found in Esquel, Chubut, Argentina. This slice, while small, features a stunning array of lime-green crystals embedded within the matrix. Last specimen measures 5/8x1-1/8", weighs 4.43 grams and was found in Imilac in Chile's Atacama Desert, the driest and highest desert on Earth. This specimen also features a stunning array of crystals in its matrix. Each of these specimens make for wonderful display. From the Robert M. Overstreet Collection and comes with COA.
