c. 1919 for first feature film originally released Jan. 27, 1918. 9x12” slick paper press book format w/eight illustrated blue tone pages w/some text in red. Issued by National Film Corporation, distributed by Goodwill Pictures Hollywood, Ca. Top of front cover has text “Second Great Publication”, center has text “Five Part Version of the Greatest Money-Maker Ever Filmed”, bottom has text “Millions Have Never Seen ‘Tarzan’”. Back cover has three “New Posters” w/titles including text “1000 People”. Includes 3-sheet w/Tarzan about to spear charging lion, one sheet w/Tarzan in jungle tree, six sheet w/Tarzan holding spear next to Jane. Contents include several photos of Elmo Lincoln as Tarzan along w/various film scenes, and numerous tips for film promotion. Light vertical fold through center, a few small edge tears and lt. dust soil. Staples have lt. oxidation. Overall Good/VG. Rare. First we’ve seen in our 47 years.
