Item Description
8" tall with 1.5" dia. cardboard bank w/removable tin lid and base. Bottom marked "Commonwealth Savings Bank Of Australia" along with productions copyright. Late 1930s. Wrap-around scene depicts tortoise about to cross the finish line as the hare lags behind. Comes with 7x9" stiff paper insert sheet issued by same bank featuring their characters "Drift And Thrift." Slightest aging to bank which remains bright and colorful. VF.One of only 2 we've offered in our 44 years.
