Lid end panel is marked "Rastus," a politically-incorrect pejorative term traditionally associated w/African Americans which is considered offensive. 1930s. Marionette has painted pressed composition head, fabric clothing, stiff cardboard interior and wooden feet w/original cardboard marionette handle attached w/original strings. Handle has tape staining but overall marionette is Exc. Box shows moderate wear/aging w/two corners of lid (which has 1.25" puncture at corner) and corner split/side panel tear on box bottom. Good/VG.
