Item Description
5x10x20" box has repeat pattern of text reading "Effanbee/Dolls That Touch Your Heart." 1.5" split on box lid, otherwise sturdy and clean w/original cellophane in window. Box holds 17" tall detailed doll that remains attached to box. Box also holds plastic bag with hat and rifle still attached. Doll is accompanied by letter dated January 1981 from Michael Wayne. Letterhead of "Wayne Enterprises." Letter explains the research and detail put into making this doll "truly reflect the strength and rugged individualism that made John Wayne the symbol of the American West." Letter goes on to explain "A Portion Of The Proceeds From Each Sale Of This Commemorative Doll Is Donated To The John Wayne Cancer Research Fund At UCLA." Facsimile signature. 1981. Box Excellent. Doll is Mint in box.
