9x15x1.5" deep box contains complete Mattel set. 1950s. Front and back of box feature same photo of Roy Williams from the "Mickey Mouse Club" TV show plus Mouseketeer who holds this Mattel toy. Box is complete and shows lt. aging/wear and is VF overall. Drawing toy has 9x14x.75" deep full color tin litho body and attached (by a movable metal frame) 10" tall die-cut plastic figure of Roy Williams. Tin litho body has eight different Disney character illustrations. To left of center is "Picture Holder" w/removable plastic cover. As part of the toy's design, this has an outline image of Roy Williams. Set comes w/12 additional 3x3" pictures, each fitting under the cover. These mostly feature Disney characters. On the bottom of the frame of the movable figure is an opening for placement of a pencil. Also on the lower half are a pair of clips which hold in place a drawing tablet. The Roy Williams figure is moved in such a manner so that his hand traces over the picture in the picture holder and in turn this same image is transferred to the drawing tablet by the user. Very nicely designed drawing tool/toy. Has original bw envelope which contains the set of pictures, drawing pad and generic pencil and this has photos on each side of other Mattel toys including Mousegetars (see item #2288) and Disney Musical Maps. Envelope has tanned w/tiny insect hole but contents are clean. Bright, glossy and Exc., old store stock.
