Item Description
Lot of 45 different 3.5x5.5" postcards, including set of 12 from #620 "Petting Comics" series. 1930s. Each features John Held-like comic art of a slightly risque nature relating to couples "petting" and features flapper women. One card has trace of insect damge along bottom margin. A few have insect damage at edges (backs only) but are unused and still display Exc. Next are group of 10 from "DG" series that features 1940s-1950s pin-up art showing models in bathing suits/lingerie in typical pin-up poses. Cards have trace of even aging but are unused and VF/Exc. overall. Next is group of 23 humorous/risque cartoon postcards. Several feature men ogling pretty women. Two of note include nudist theme w/bare-breasted woman and "Carbon Copies" featuring stereotypical black family. Unused and VF-Exc. overall. Great designs. All shown online.
