Item Description
11" tall to the top tip of his wide brimmed hat with upturned front. Interior is stuffed cotton with his military outfit of quite thick felt. The face is molded and dimensional with painted features including large eyes and more subtle eye glass frames. The mustache, mouth and teeth are very prominent. At the neck is a tied bandana, the coat has three simulated brass buttons, around the waist is a simulated leather belt of stiff paper. Only two small damages. On top of one foot a 1/16x5/16" line of black felt is gone due to insects and the seam on the back of his right arm has become about 50% loose needing a few stitches to repair. A final feature which somehow survived is a tiny 1" tall holster of material matching the belt. A tiny thread might have once have held it to the belt. It contains a rather flat gray metal pistol just over 1" long made of white metal. Surface has oxidation and silver luster is gone but it remains totally intact. We can not find any references or previous sales for this rare doll which aside from the two small issues mentioned is NM.
