Large 10.25x13.5" give-away with eight photo filled pages to promote showing at Crystal Theatre, Sturgis (Michigan) on May 17 (1917). Inside front cover is full-page scene "Gathering Of The Ku Klux Klan." Center spread shows director D.W. Griffith and "The Great Battle Scene." Smaller photos of film scenes include: President Lincoln in prayer, the slave mart, Lincoln's assassination and Grant and Lee at Appomattox. Much promo text on "Why You Should See" the movie plus list of "Startling Facts That Explain Its Vogue." Minor cover margin age traces and 1" tear on back cover edge. Near VF. Second is 3-3/8x5-3/8" stiff card "Merry Christmas And Happy New Year" showing robed Klansmen holding burning crosses as they sit on rearing robed horses. Reverse ink inscription "From Glen And Nellie." 1920s. NM. A rare pair.
