Item Description
8.5x17x4.5" deep hinged-lid cardboard box w/photo illustrated end label contains 14.75" tall American Character Doll. 1952. Doll functions as listed on box - cries tears, wets, blows bubbles. Doll has Real Skin body, arms and legs and hard plastic head w/sleep eyes. Scattered aging, mostly to arms and legs, w/back of baby's left knee having two .5" surface breaks at knee bend. Doll is dressed in original girls outfit and is missing only one button at top back. Scattered aging w/.25x.5" spot of faint staining to chest. Fine/VF. Box end has "I Love Lucy Baby" label w/heart design showing bw photo of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz holding included doll. Underside of lid has larger bw photo of Lucy and Desi in heart w/separate heart showing illustration of doll. Box has separate cardboard drawer at bottom of box. Box shows moderate wear w/corner split and 1" tear to side panel of lid. VG. Scarce box. Doll was produced to capitalize on Lucy's pregnancy, hence this girl doll.
