Item Description
Lot of 22 from a numbered set c. 1951 issued by Canadian company best known for their hockey cards. Each 1.75x2.5". Features characters from Dick Tracy, Popeye, Abbie & Slats, Terry And The Pirates, The Captain and The Kids, Ella Cinders. Card numbers are 7, 9, 12, 13, 16, 18-20, 22-24, 26, 27, 29, 31-33, 35-39. Some of the characters include Sam & The Police Chief, The Goon, Terry, The Dragon Lady, Hans and Fritz, Aces. All but 3 backs are blank. Two are marked "See You In The Star Weekly Every Week" while one has an ad for "Frostade" drink mix along with a premium six-shooter gun available with drink packages. Most cards just have light trace of margin wear/aging. Four cards are VG. Rest mostly VF to Exc. Scarce.
