Item Description
Lot of three metal sand toys produced 1920s-1950s. First toy stands 12-1/8" tall and is painted tin/natural metal. Unmarked, but likely Wolverine. Cone-shaped chute at top pours sand into hopper which falls down and dumps sand when full, returning due to counterweight. Scattered wear/aging from use, unpainted metal surfaces have some scattered pinpoint spots of oxidation. Fine. Chein "Sand Chute" toy was produced in the 1930s and stands 10.5" tall. Chute at top drops sand into wheeled cart which sits on metal track. When weight is enough, cart pushes track down and rolls to end, dumping sand from tilting dump bed. Scattered wear from use w/a few scattered paint nicks/scratches. Fine. Chein "Sand Mill" was produced in the 1950s and stands 11.25" tall. Intricate design include chute at top that dumps sand onto to staggered wheel w/several cups each, causing them to spin and dump sand into wheel cups below. Scattered wear from use but VF overall.
