Item Description
Lot of three similarly designed, 8.75" long tin litho toys. First two were produced by Marx, goose w/red/blue coat is marked 1924 and it is o/w unmarked but Marx. Golden Goose has 1924 patent date on underside but 1930s. "Gerty The Galloping Goose" was produced by Unique in the 1930s. All three have built-in keys and feature same working actions, toys hop about when wound as their separate heads bob up and down. Golden Goose was design to lays "eggs" which were marbles that can easily be replaced. Toys have scattered moderate wear/aging w/paint nicks/scratches and are VG/Fine overall.
