Auction #182 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1499 in auction 182
Item Description
One of the largest and most graphic of the Coolidge buttons, this 1.75" features gold lettering and accenting. Design is just about 1/32" off-center to the lower right. A couple of extremely fine scratches around his nose and cheek catch reflected light but o/w don't show at all. The narrow gold circle surrounding his image has a few scattered tiny dots that have lost the bright luster but overall vast majority of all the gold coloring remains. Button surface has quite a few but widely scattered tiny raised cello bumps but again these just show a little in reflected light and don't detract visually. Reverse has tiny hairline .25" split along the collet but cello lays so flat that the split barely shows at all. While we specify numerous small defects, overall the piece displays glossy and VF.
