Item Description
This coin was produced to honor the Bald Eagle's restoration to America's waterways and skies, commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Endangered Species Act of 1973, and celebrate the removal of this national symbol from the endangered species list. The obverse of this coin, designed by Susan Gamble, depicts young eaglets in their natural habitat resting on a branch. The reverse, designed by Don Everhart, is based on a replica of the obverse side of the current Great Seal of the United States as engraved in 1903. This coin was struck at the West Point Mint. From the Robert M Overstreet Collection and comes with COA.
