Item Description
First is 1.25" showing the capsule in which John Glenn made three orbits of the Earth as part of the "Project Mercury" effort and has date "Feb. 20th 1962." White area at left has two faint 1/16" barely showing tan marks. Rest is Mint. Comes along with button issued just after the event showing the capsule and reading "Friendship Seven Reading Club." This is a 7/8" with paper by St. Louis Button Co. Mint. Scarce pair.
