Item Description
First is 1" with W&H paper.  Issued for a 1914 Centennial in Vergennes, Vermont and picturing Thomas Macdonough, an American Naval Officer noted for his roles in the first Barbary War and the War of 1812.  Mint.  Next is 1.25" color portrait button with back paper by Dieges & Clust, NYC.  His facsimile signature below with rim text "Centennial Of Bloomfield, N.J. 1812-March 1912."  Two tiny marks left of his nose seems to be in the printing.  A thin red line outlining his face is also in the printing.  Design a trifle off center to the right.  Still displays Mint as made.  Hake book Collectible Pin-Back Buttons photo example Wars items #14 & #15.
