Original illustrated cardboard box contains 3-7/8" long painted die-cast metal free-wheeling firetruck, complete w/all pieces from the "Salco Series," c. 1949. Marked "Charbens - Made In England" on underside. This is No. 85-8, "Mickey's Fire Brigade" and features attached painted die-cast three-dimensional seated firefighter Mickey Mouse figure on back and comes w/two additional firefighter Mickey Mouse figures and two separate metal lengths of ladder for firetruck and attached ladder holder. Tiny 1/8" stressline at right corner of windshield but as produced and o/w Exc./NM. Box pictures toy on two sides and end flap reads "This Is One Of 5 Salco Disney Novelties" and goes on to list others in this series. Box noticeably aged and w/dents and 5" puncture and .5 edge split. VG. Scarce w/box. From the Maurice Sendak Collection and comes with COA.
