Item Description
11" dia. china from 1930s set by Faiencerie d'Onnaing China Co. of France. At center is 4.25" dia. full color design titled "Les Triou Petits Cochons" which translates to "The Three Little Pigs" and depicts Fifer and Fiddler Pig leaving Practical Pig's house (w/Practical Pig in bkg.) while the Bid Bad Wolf watches. Image was taken from the second Three Little Pigs animated short, 1934's "The Big Bad Wolf." Back of plate has company markings as well as Walt Disney name stamp. Plate is very attractively finished w/thin silver accent lines on the raised edges and side handles. Scattered wear to silver accents, a few pinpoint nicks/scratches on image area. Very glossy finish. VF. See double serving dish from same series, #2300. From the Maurice Sendak Collection and comes with COA.
