Item Description
8.75" tall painted wood jointed figure is unmarked but 1930s and made in Europe. Executed in bw as Mickey appeared in his earliest animated cartoons w/red accent to mouth. Fully articulated w/joints at neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, jigsawed wooden hands, waist, hips, knees, ankles and feet. Tail has snapped off and just a stub remains. Similar to the Italian Mickey Mouse figures by Peri, but this is a much larger figure. White areas have lt. even aging and figure has scattered paint wear, mainly to nose, snout, mouth and feet. Fine overall. From the Maurice Sendak Collection and comes with COA.
