Item Description
2-5/16" oval button for ship that saw extensive action in the Pacific. As text on the button indicates the ship was built by the "New York Ship Building Corp" and was launched at "Camden, N.J." See extensive wartime service on the internet. The ship received eight battle stars and was part of Admiral Halsey's third fleet. Tiny surface wear. Exc. and displays Mint. Very limited issue.
