This adult size 40 quilted denim uniform jacket and denim pants were the Nautilus Operator's cast member costume for use only at the Walt Disney World Tomorrowland "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea" exhibit. This exhibit opened on Oct. 14, 1971 at the park, changing the idea of current modern nuclear submarine in favor of the popular Nautilus submarine from the 1954 live-action Disney adventure film. Becoming one of the the most popular attractions at the park, the "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea: Submarine Voyage" was an attraction 1971 through 1994. This costume was worn only by cast members of the attraction and was not meant to leave the park. Inside collar of jacket has "Walt Disney World" sewn-in label and front left breast has stylized "N" Nautilus patch, which replaced the metal badge in 1984. Pants have inked "Main 12-88 26x28" notation on inside waistband. Jacket and pants are Exc. Rare and desirable item for the 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea collector.
