Item Description
1.25" with W&H back paper used only 1900-1912. Beautiful color scene titled "The Great Coal Mine" a Coney Island ride attraction. Depicts miner in large open shaft supported by timbers using his head lamp to illuminate a rock pile at which he swings his pick. In the background a donkey stands hitched to a cart of coal. Reverse has .25" line where the cello did not fold smoothly below collet and this produced a slight side edge bump showing a trifle as a 3/16" line on the front extreme edge at 1 o'clock. NM as made. Our fifth seen and Auction 204 example with a reverse cello split exceeded $350.00. Rare.
