Item Description
Original 27x41" one-sheet movie poster for the 1940 RKO Radio Pictures film starring Jeff York (as Granville Owen) as Li'l Abner Yokum, Martha O'Driscoll as Daisy Mae Scraggs, Mona Ray as "Mammy" Yokum, Johnnie Morris as "Pappy" Yokum and Buster Keaton as Lonesome Polecat. Poster features wonderful design w/images of three of the film's cast (including Abner and Daisy Mae) at top while rest of poster is dominated by Al Capp images of his "Li'l Abner" comic strip characters. Originally folded, poster has a few small scattered areas of color touch-up along fold lines/top fold crease intersection and some small .25" to .5" slivers replaced along margins and at top left corner. Fine overall, but as linen-mounted, poster still displays nicely.
